am a local mobile Henna Artist, located in San Francisco. I was born and raised in the city of San Francisco, and have been practicing henna body art for a period of twelve years. I am a self-taught artist, specializing in North African and East Asian henna design. I hold my Certification with ICNHA (the International Certification for Natural Henna Artists organization), and am also a Licensed as a Henna Artist for business practice in the United States.

Henna is one of my greatest joys and pastimes. Henna body art, or mehndi, is an ancient art, and dates back to the beginning of time. This practice has played a great role in my ancestral history. It has also fascinated and inspired me to learn more about its uses and traditions. I made it a point to travel to North Africa, to indulge myself in more exposure to this nearly-lost tradition, hoping that this voyage would inspire me further and expand my knowledge, as well as helping me to complete my research in these cultural and traditional henna practices.

In my research and travels, I had discovered henna in an unusual fashion. I had already known of this art, but to see it practiced, and adorning so many, in an ancient land, gave me greater inspiration, and appreciation of the art. I felt more attached to this practice, the compassion burned deeper in me, and I became more than eager to continue practicing the simple, yet complex, art of mehndi. I then decided that I wanted to share the beauty and joy of this art with others.

This small, flowering plant has the ability to transform any woman into an even greater jewel. It empowers sensuality, mystery, and enhances any celebration. It can take any peasant bride, and transform her into a wealthy queen. Painted in beautiful henna, anyone and everyone has the opportunity to escape a dull reality, and live the moment in a night of mystic fantasy!
