I’ve been looking for a Daniel Lanois tune that he sang in French from the Sessions At West 54th program years ago. Was that song ever released? I have it recorded on VHS, but? have never been able to find it. He says the name of the song title in the run-in to the song, but please don’t ask me to type it. I wouldn’t know how. Thank you.

@oniforo – … yes… New Orleans and proving again French people can be cool anywhere!? Probably the best culture in Canada. Or the best place here for ALL culture to happen = Montreal.

La? femme câlisse son chum dehors parce qu’il est violent… il est violent à cause qu’il boit… il boit à cause qu’il a honte… honte de quoi? il le dit pas. S’il le disait, peut-être qu’il aurait encore sa femme.

This is from a great album called “Acadie”. It might? have been Lanois’ first solo album. Brian Eno involved. It’s a gorgeous recording – every song very interesting, lots of classic Eno sounds. Check it out!
